#153 Pokéwagon

This seems familiar…

Sean can’t really get into pokémon because it makes him too upset. If a pokémon becomes confused there is a 50% chance that it will hurt itself instead of attacking, but for Sean this seems to be more like 100%. Now when his pokémon become confused, there is a 50% chance that he will throw his DS in anger.

At my graduation, I showed up early, but not wearing my robes and hat. I also wasn’t dressed in fancy clothes, like I guess everyone else was, whoops. While waiting around awkwardly, a guy came up to me to ask, “is that a… pokéwalker?” I thought he was just making fun of me but then he was like “oh it’s cool I have one too.” and then we traded items. I got a choice scarf.

Goin For A Stroll

I haven’t been sucked into the obsession of the pokéwalker like Mimi and Nik have. They constantly pace back and forth, frothing and mumbling about “steps.” Really though the pokéwalker is only useful for catching pokémon not available in HG/SS. Otherwise pokémon leveled up in the pokéwalker will not gain any extra EV’s, or evolve, or even learn any moves, so any pokémon leveled up this way will suck compared to one leveled in game.

Pokemon: Making you useless to people not as obsessed as you since the dawn of time.

My finest PokéWalker connect was 2 Light Balls in one day.

My brother and his Girlfriend are in to that. She does stuff with robotics at the university, so she built this Lego robot (the ones you program and have motors/gears etc) that would simulate the motion of walking - pretty much it moves around in a circle. Turn it on and it’ll “walk” for hours with their pokewalkers sitting in the scoop. Works perfectly, albeit a bit noisy. I’ll see if I can get some pictures and post them on the forum :P

@Tommy: Ignoring the major possibility for an innuendo/Euphamism there.
I’m one of those guys that outgrew pokemon around gold/silver.
I gave Ruby a try when my nephew got it, but said “Meh, I don’t want to do this again” and gave it back.
I still own a copy of Red, for nostalgia.

First gameboy color game I ever played was Pokemon Yellow, and I was hooked.
I still have all three originals, Gold and Silver(played so much the internal battery died, on both carts), and Ruby and Sapphire. I’ve played a little of Emerald, and I played Fire Red.

Tried Diamond on my emulator, but I couldn’t get into it. The second they tried to pass off a beaver as a Pokemon, I quit.

That is the BEST idea ever! I saw the light bulb click on when I told my husband…something is telling me that I’m going to come home to a lego robot walking around the living room while he’s playing xbox, or something…
