I think it’s too soon to do another guest strip week so instead I am trying something different. I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish the rest of the pages, so I may give up and instead post other weird art stuff. We’ll see!!
Since starting the comic we haven’t updated character designs at all. Sean grew out his hair and I shaved my head and then he cut his and mine grew out again, but our characters always looked the same. Also, I didn’t want to even try drawing my (totally sexy) glasses in the beginning, and I never added that to the comic. So this was an excuse to draw updated versions of us!
I can’t decide if I like the gray scale or solid black and white better. Let me know what you think!
I like both, actually. If you continued to use both styles at once in each comic page, I would not be disappointed. I wonder if there would be a way to smooth the transition between styles, though? The use of hatching for shading in the pure black & white does introduce some transition in this one.
Whoa, I love this art style! If I had to choose, the gray scale adds more depth. But I agree with pgn674. Both is better. I think the solid black and white is good for effect though.

I personally like the black and white more, but they both look great.

Buttercup festival influence? Maybe? Or Calvin & Hobbes? Either way, This looks frickin’ awesome.
Chalk another up for greyscale, btw.
