I work with Bob at HomeGoods. I haven’t done comics about my job yet because it’s pretty boring. I have some stories, but they aren’t so much funny as just kind of sad, and most could probably be summed up by “I hate people.”

The usual music selection in the store is pretty bad, but the Christmas music is so much worse. If listening to the song in the comic doesn’t enrage you, maybe try listening to it on repeat for a few hours, days, or weeks. Though I suppose this isn’t even the worst of it. There are of course the Chipmunk Christmas songs… and the songs that attempt to sexualize Santa, which I always find kind of creepy.

In general Christmas songs are never good. The worst is when rock/punk bands have a song that sounds vaguely similar to a Christmas carol and put their own lyrics in it. Why would you ever do that?! I am pretty sure I even heard Billy Corgan doing a Christmas song the other day! Christmas is great and all, but I can really do without the music.

One exception, is “If I Was Santa Claus” by Atmosphere. That is a good Christmas related song.

Oh yeah Christmas sucks…..

Bed Bath and Beyond is one of the worst jobs I’ve ever had… Especially during Christmas time.

No job test your self restraint, man hood, and moral compose like bed bath and beyond…

Needless to say I was fired from that job with a beautiful episode that involved knives, yankee candles, and a lawn chair.

Oh my god, I work at a grocery store that was also still playing christmas music today. My coworkers and I were yelling at it. I think we scared away customers. Christmas would be a lot cooler if it were only one day.

:< At least retail has people that are DRESSED. I work at a recreation center = Gym = pool= half naked grumpy old people…

DO NOT WAAAAAAAAAAAAANT. (Plus the whole workin for the county = no CHRISTMAS but HOLIDAY.)

OMG face vase my mom got a face vase for christmas..
she made me go to home goods for like an hour and a half.. i think “santa baby” sung by a man is worse than any other christmas song ive heard.

You need some good Christmas music (well, maybe not anymore, but for next year for sure). I reccomend the Manheim Steamroller Christmas stuff (you’ve probably heard some of it before, and it’s hard to describe. Just check it out), and the Barenaked Ladies Christmas album, which take’s Sean’s “The worst is when rock/punk bands have a song that sounds vaguely similar to a Christmas carol and put their own lyrics in it.” and brings it up to the max for hilarity. Such as replacing the lyrics for “Deck the Halls” with the words “Crosby Stills Nash and Young” sung over and over and over again. Or doing an alternatively melancholy and insanely energetic version of Jingle Bells which includes the grade school verses (like Jingle Bells, Batman smells…)
